The first round of auditions for THE WAVES are set for Saturday, May 23rd.
We only ask for a monologue. We may ask you to read a small section. It should not take more than ten minutes.

We’ve started casting! This is our first casting notice which we will be posting and submitting around the trades and agencies.
The Caledonia Night Sky Company is now casting for their new feature film entitled
“THE WAVES”

This film is a drama with a science fiction element. When the grief stricken widower Thomas meets the mysterious and beautiful Eve by chance, he learns there are no accidents.
Character Breakdowns:
Thomas
Male / 25-35 Years / Caucasian
Thomas is a 30 year-old former city cop who lives on a rundown Midwestern farm. He is still suffering from the loss of his wife who is from the area. He wants to move on and feels the only way is to leave the farm and small town behind. But Thomas is forced to stay a while longer when he suddenly encounters a mysterious and hurt woman named Eve.
Eve
Female / 20-30 Years / Any Ethnicity
Eve is a sharp woman with an outgoing personality. She’s a pilot from the future who has been accidentally stranded in the present. As a result, she suffers a memory loss side-effect. Her return home is uncertain.
Phil Simonson
Male / 45-60 Years / Caucasian
Bill Simonson is an intimidating figure who owns a grain business. His strict ways already cost him a relationship with his son Carter, now Simonson is trying to salvage his relationship with his son-in-law Thomas. However, Simonson is suspicious of Thomas’s sudden relationship with Eve.
Carter
Male / 30-40 Years/ Caucasian
Simonson’s son. Carter is a weasily guy who moved away from home and became a cop in the city where he once befriended Thomas. Now he is a criminal on the run and no one is sure where or when he’ll turn up. One thing everyone is sure of — Carter is up to no good.
Ben
Male / 14-18 Years/ Caucasian
Carter’s estranged son, Bill Simonson’s grandson and Thomas’s nephew. Ben is a bright but timid kid who has never really met his father. He is under the guardianship of Bill, who pushes him to follow in the family grain business. Ben does so to be a good grandson but aspires for something much, much more.
Janice
Female / 20-26 Years/ Any Ethnicity
Janice is new to the town and waiting tables at the local diner. She has a tendency to read people pretty well and is not afraid to let them know what she’s thinking.
Nancy
Female / 45-55 Years/ Caucasian
Bill Simonson’s wife and Ben’s grandmother. The steady rock for all of them during the events that happen over the course of the film.

The Caledonia Night Sky Co. is holding an open call for “Collinsville” on:
Saturday, April 5th, 12pm – 6pm at DePaul University, 243 S. Wabash Ave., 9th Floor
and
Sunday, April 6th, 12pm – 6pm at Rock Valley College, 3301 N. Mulford Rd., ERC Building (Library) Ground floor.
“Collinsville” is a short WW2 film shooting mid-May in the Rockford, IL area.
Need to cast: Lead male 35 – 40 very athletic, Two males 16 – 20, One female 16 – 20, One male 25 – 30, One male 50 – 60 heavy set/grey hair. Also need 20 extras all types.
No pay, but meals will be served on shooting days and a DVD copy of film will be provided. To schedule audition, email request and H/R to:
